Amy Hughes
Freelance writer and editor
I’m Amy Hughes, a freelance writer and editor. I graduated with first-class degrees in English Literature (University of York) and a Master’s in English with American Studies (University of Oxford) in 2016 and 2017 respectively, and since then I have been forging a career in online media.
I have worked mainly in content marketing in the higher education sector, though I have also written on various topics across full-time and freelance roles. In 2023 I primarily collaborated with content marketing agency lowercase, producing blogs for SaaS companies on the topic of HR and recruitment.
My previous role was as a Digital Content Editor with a focus on Education at the Institute of Art and Ideas, where I spearheaded the IAI’s burgeoning education proposition as they transitioned from free content to a subscription model.
